Comprehensive Eye Exams

Humber Bay Eye Care is a full service primary care optometric practice. Every comprehensive eye examination is customized to each patient’s unique needs.  A complete eye exam will evaluate how well you see and includes a full assessment of the health of your entire eye. The assessment includes a measurement of your vision, an evaluation of how your eyes work together as a team and dilation to examine the back of the eye.

Contact Lenses

Glasses and an active lifestyle do not always go together – no problem!  Contact lens technology has improved and now provide better oxygen transmission, breathability and moisture to deliver comfortable and crisp vision so you can study, work or play without glasses.

Diabetic Eye Exams

Diabetes is the most common cause of blindness in people under the age of 65 in Canada and the most common cause of new blindness in North America. People with diabetes are more likely to develop cataracts at a younger age and are twice as likely to develop glaucoma, a disease of the optic nerve. The effect of diabetes on the retina is the most serious threat to vision. These conditions can be treated or managed if identified early, but they can lead to vision loss or even blindness if left untreated.

1 in 4 children have a vision problem and may not know it

The eye’s greatest physical development occurs during the first year of life. Since 80 per cent of a child’s learning is based on what he or she sees, excellent sight and eye health are critical to a child’s development. Children who cannot see the blackboard, focus on a picture, or follow words in a book may struggle to achieve their full learning potential.

  • From the time I walked in their service was A+++
Friendly and courteous front desk.Dr. Lakhani was very professional. Very relaxing atmosphere. She explained all of the procedures and made me feel comfortable although it had been years since I went to see an optometrist.
Her front staff helped me choose the proper frame and gave me her honest opinions on the options I chose. I was recommends by my ok optometrist who had retired and I am glad he did.

Thank you everyone for the world class service!
